Turning Mode is a Medical Devices and Life Sciences startup. Turning Mode was founded by Jorge Zapata after realizing that the healthcare illumination system was flawed and not addressing basic surgical workflows. The company is developing Sentinel, a new illumination system that eliminates shadows in the operating room. Sentinel proactively delivers optimal illumination despite light obstructions and interferences. It’s technology enables predictive, autonomous, real-time light interference response, keeping the patient optimally illuminated at all times.
